Upon doing research for 104 exam question i stumbled upon the wikipedia page for acjc and this is what it said under sporting achievements.
"ACJC are traditional powerhouses in rugby, swimming, water polo, badminton, golf, billiards, netball, air rifle and track & field.
Prior to 1998, the ACJC cross-country team was still part of the track & field team without a separate identity. However, ever since it became an independent CCA and had its own streamlined training program and coaching staff, the ACJC cross-country team has enjoyed tremendous success, most importantly in the national schools championships.
The greatest achievement thus far was undoubtedly the back-to-back hat-trick of national inter-schools team gold from 2001, 2002 and 2003 for the boys’ team. The girls’ team landed the championship in 1999, and has constantly emerged among the top 3 teams ever since. Even though the races have since been shifted from MacRitchie Reservoir to Sentosa and now finally to the Old Turf Club, the ACJC cross-country team continues to excel. In 2002 and 2003, the boys' team swept back-to-back individual champions. Their latest win in the national inter-school cross-country championships is in 2006. Yet another notable achievement was in 2001, when the top 3 runners of the inter-schools national track & field championships 800m event came from the ACJC x-country team."
And that's all there was under sporting achievements.
im quite amused cuz its obvious that an ex-crossie added the last 2 paragraphs, making it seem like unequal representation of our sports scene. But hey, alumnus of the other ccas could always have their say too.haha i think it's someone from the '01 batch cuz there was even a photo of the 2001 guys team next to the write up with the caption "The victorious x-country team".haha
